Overview
Candidate Sources in Evolve ATS allow you to track and gain insights as to where your candidates are applying from. The following article provides an overview of the default list of candidate sources.
NOTE: Even though the delete symbol may appear in the same line as a default candidate source, you cannot delete a default source; you can only rename it. You will get a caution/stop popup if you try to delete a default source. If a custom source with candidates attached is deleted, the candidates will show a blank source. Default Source List
- Employee - Used for candidates who apply via Jobvites sent by employees or when employees use Refer a Friend.
- Hiring Manager - Used when hiring managers add a candidate to requisitions they own.
- Agency - Used when an agency submits a candidate. The system also adds the agency contact name.
- Career Site - Used for candidates who apply directly from your Evolve ATS-powered career site.
- Job Board - Used for candidates who apply through a job board/blog link created by the Create Job link on the requisition page. For example, if you create a job link and paste it into your Craigslist posting, the candidate who applies using this link will show the source: Job Board: Craigslist. Job Board is also the source when candidates apply through posts created on any job boards using the free job board options in Admin > Integrations > Job Boards > Enable job distribution. Please see Free Job Board Distribution for more details. Job Board will also be the source if you use JobTarget, EQuest, or Post to LinkedIn options.
- Job Notification - Used when candidates who signed up to receive Job Notifications apply through the link in the email notification they have received.
- Internal - Used when an employee (listed as a user in Evolve ATS) applies to a job.
- Recruiter - Used when a recruiter clicks the Add Candidate option and enters a new application record.
- Internal Transfer - Used when a recruiter or hiring manager closes a requisition filled by an employee and indicates that it is an Internal Transfer.
- Import - Used for candidates imported to the system (often during activation).
- Email - Used when an email is sent to resume@jobvite.com from your company email account (the user who forwards the resume must be a user in Evolve ATS). The attachment or email content will be inserted into your company’s candidate database with a source of Email: First Name and Last Name (using the name of the user who emailed the resume into the system).
The sources below are for Jobvite CRM (Engage) customers. Evolve ATS customers can still use these sources but must manually choose them from the Source drop-down on the candidate’s record.
- Web Search - Contacts saved from the options in the Sourcing tab.
- Resume Search - Contacts saved are from Sourcing > Resume Search.
- Campaign - Contacts who have responded to Campaigns.
