Requisition Template Value Mapping

Follow

Overview

The Requisition Template Value Mapping capability allows customers to predefine values of standard and custom requisition fields in the requisition templates and auto-populate the predefined values during requisition creation. When creating a requisition, these values will be pre-filled for recruiters, making the process faster and error-free.

Open-ended and Closed-ended Fields

For value mapping, we segregate standard and custom fields into two types:

  • Open-ended fields accept any values the user inputs with its validations. Text, multi-line text, number, zip, phone number, currency, dollar amount, date, and description are all open-ended fields.
  • Closed-ended fields accept values from a limited set of options. Dropdown, checkboxes, radio buttons, Employee and Employee (default) are all closed-end fields.

During value mapping in a requisition template, open-ended fields can be mapped with only one value, whereas closed-ended fields can be mapped to more than one value.

Predefine Fields

In the Value field, add the value mapping name.

Example 1: For this example, we are predefining the Title field, so we will add the text that will be shown on the requisition template.

Example 2: For this example, we are predefining the Location field. Since we are only hiring in particular areas for this requisition, we will add the location(s) in the value field so they will be available when a new requisition is created.

NOTE: The first value will always be the default value when a requisition is created. When a user clicks the dropdown, the remaining values will be shown.

Example 3: For this example, we are predefining the Description field. Paste the job description.

Click Done.

Repeat the above steps for any remaining fields you want to predefine.

Click Save, then click Continue.

The requisition template will now include the predefined fields when a user creates a new requisition.

See the image below to view how the requisition form will open with the above value mapping for the three fields: Title, Location, and Description.
