Import using Email
Capture Email Address to Send Resumes
While logged in to Evolve RM, navigate to your user menu > Account Settings.
Click the Desktop Tools tab.
Below the Candidate Email Import section and in the Import Resume Inbox field, a unique email address is created/assigned to each user. You will send resumes to this email address. You can copy and save it to the contacts in your email client.
The Confirmation Email Address field is where the Desktop Tools extension sends communication related to each email import. By default, it is the user's email address. This field can be edited.
Now, you're ready to email a resume to Evolve RM.
Email Resume to Evolve RM
Create an email address from your email client to the Import Resume inbox:
- Option 1: Attach one or more individual resumes. They must be in a supported file type. NOTE: Do not attach a Zip file containing more than one resume – only the first one will be processed.
- Option 2: Copy and paste a valid resume into the body of the email. Ensure no additional information is in the email (for example, email signature)
Send the email.
Once Evolve RM has processed and received it, the confirmation email address will receive an email from dontreply@resume.talemetry.com for each processed resume. The email will contain the following:
- The time the original email was sent.
- Extracted First name, Last name, and Email. These three fields are required for the quick save option.
-
Options. When the user previously processed candidates, these are the previous settings used:
- Source – The source of the candidate chosen previously.
- Folder – Any folders that were added last time.
- Jobs – Any jobs that were added last time.
- Tags – Any tags that were added last time.
-
Actions
- Save – Saves as is with options. This is only available if First name, Last name, and Email fields are extracted.
- Review – Launches a review page to make changes.
- Cancel – Cancels the import.
NOTE: Each action can only be used once.
Now you're ready to save.
Save Candidate without Review

A new browser tab will launch, and the save request will be processed. If successful, you will see a confirmation on the page.
You will also receive an email confirmation that the candidate was saved successfully.
Cancel Candidate
If the candidate displayed is not the one you want, click the Cancel link in the email. This will remove the resume from the temporary storage.
The Cancel link will launch a new browser tab and process the cancel request. You will see a confirmation if the cancellation is successful.

FAQ
Q. I received an email with the resume contents in the body of the email. Can I send that to Evolve RM?
A. Yes. Evolve Recruitment Marketing can process a resume in the body of the email. If the contents of the email are a valid resume, you will receive a confirmation to save or review the candidate.
Q. I forwarded an email with both a resume attached and a resume in the body of the email. Evolve only processed the attachment. What happened?
A. This is expected behavior. Whenever an email has attachments, they are processed first. If Evolve Recruitment Marketing finds a valid resume in an attachment, it will not process the body of the email. The recommendation is to only do a resume body OR a resume attachment in a single email, not both.
Q. I forwarded an email with a resume in the body of the email, and Evolve Recruitment Marketing extracted my name and email address. What happened?
A. When Evolve Recruitment Marketing processes the body of a forwarded email, your email footer or signature may also be extracted. The recommendation is to cancel that candidate and then forward the email again to Evolve Recruitment Marketing after removing any extra information (like email footers).
Q. How many files can I attach to an email and send to Evolve Recruitment Marketing?
A. There is no specific limit to the number of files to attach. However, there are some related limits:
- The email cannot be larger than 10MB in size
- A single resume attachment cannot be larger than 10MB in size to be processed by the resume extraction service
Q. I have a zip file containing many resumes. Can I send that?
A. No. Evolve Recruitment Marketing email import is designed to work with single resume attachments. Evolve RM can process a ZIP file; however, only the 1st file in that zip will be processed. The recommendation is to unzip the files on your desktop and attach the resumes to the email you send for extraction.
Q. I sent a resume to email desktop tools and did not receive a response. What happened?
A.
- Check your spam folder. It is possible that the response went there
- Add donotreply@resume.talemetry.com to your safe sender list and try again. This should keep items out of the spam folder.
- It might be possible that your company's email system blocks donotreply@resume.talemetry.com. Check with your IT department. If possible, add donotreply@resume.talemetry.com to a company-wide whitelist.
- There could be a delay in the email. Be patient and check back
- Delay could come from the sender side (i.e., delay in sending to Evolve Recruitment Marketing)
- Delay on Evolve's side (i.e., delay in receiving)
- Delay or backlog in processing on the Evolve side
- A delay in the response email coming back (i.e., your email server delay).
- The attachment or body wasn't recognized as a resume and, therefore, not processed
- Evolve attempts to identify and process every attachment of a valid file type.
- If you send an email to the Email Import inbox with no valid attachments or no resume in the body, you will receive a confirmation message that no valid resumes are found.
