Introduction
The Messages tab within Evolve Recruitment Marketing (RM) shows the emails and SMS sent and received to a candidate's email address and phone numbers. If a candidate's record has multiple email addresses, the Messages tab will show emails sent to any of their email addresses. If an email was sent from a user different than the logged-in user, the Messages tab will show the sender selected on the email.

Messages Tab
Navigate to the Talent tab, then run a search for the desired candidate.
There are two ways to view the candidate's profile:
- Click a candidate’s name, or
- On the candidate card, select the menu icon, then click View Profile.
Click the Messages tab.
You can view, search, filter, sort, and preview the message details.
The Messages tab shows a count of the messages sent to the candidate and received from the candidate.
Messages List
A list of the emails and SMS sent is shown with the newest/most recently sent messages at the top.
Each item has an icon indicating the type of message. The types include:
- Email -
- SMS Sent -
- SMS Received -
- External SMS -
- External Email (Forwarded Email) -
For each email sent, the following information is shown in the list:
- The Send Date of the email.
- The Subject of the email.
- The Email Status of that email. This could include positive statuses (i.e., Delivered, Open, Click) or negative statuses (i.e., Dropped, Bounced, Unsubscribed).
For each SMS sent, the following information is shown:
- The Send Date of the message.
- The Message that is sent (may be truncated).
- The SMS Status of that message. This could include positive statuses (i.e., Delivered, Clicked) or negative statuses (i.e., Dropped, Undelivered).
Emails and SMS messages imported from the ATS on the Candidate XML are displayed on the Messages tab and marked with the ATS indicator.
You can see a list of up to 50 messages per page and can paginate. You can also make the page size 10,25,50 or 100 items.
Search Messages
In the search bar, you can search messages by subject, sender, or text content.
Filter Messages
You can filter messages by date range. You can choose 30, 60, 90, or a custom date range. The default is all-time.
Sort Messages
You can sort messages by Date Sent (default, descending), Sender, Status, or Subject.
Messages Preview
When an email is selected, the HTML email (text email for old profile) is shown by default.
When an SMS is selected, additional details, including the full message, are shown.
For Emails, you can click Text View email to show the text version of the email or HTML View to show the HTML view of the email of the email.
