Deprecation: Email to Application Creation

Deprecated Feature Name
Email to Application Creation

Feature Description
The Email to Application Creation capability allows customers to create candidate applications by forwarding resumes to dedicated Jobvite email addresses (resume@jobvite.com or talent@jobvite.com). When a resume is sent to these addresses, Jobvite automatically creates a candidate profile from the attached resume.

Why is this Feature being deprecated?
This feature is being deprecated for several reasons:

  • Very few customers are using it (less than 0.5% of Jobvite ATS users)
  • It was built on outdated code, making it difficult to support and maintain
  • The infrastructure costs to keep the feature running are not sustainable

Is there a specific date on which the feature needs to be deprecated?

Feb 6, 2025

Workarounds for Customers:

After this feature is deprecated, customers can follow one of the following workarounds to create Applications:

  • Create an application through the Add Candidate option available in Jobvite Evolve ATS.
  • For bulk application creation, customers can submit a Help ticket for the services team to import the application as a data project.

Future Interaction (after the feature deprecation):

  1. When a user sends an email to these email addresses, an undelivered email will be received by the sender
  2. A candidate application will not be created after this feature is deprecated
  3. There will be no impact on the previously created applications
