Introduction
The Job Board Disposition Sync feature enables Evolve ATS administrators to enable or disable sharing hiring signals with candidates and seamlessly map ATS candidate states to standard Indeed and ZipRecruiter dispositions. This helps candidates gain visibility into their application states within job board platforms where they have applied. By configuring disposition mapping within Evolve ATS, recruiters can maintain candidate status updates in alignment between systems without requiring manual effort.
Updates to this article have been made that are included in the Summer 2025 release.

Configuration
Navigate to your user menu, then select Admin.
Click Integrations.
Click View Job Boards.
Click Edit.
Click the checkbox next to Indeed. NOTE: Candidate states are shared with job boards periodically when this check box is enabled. If you uncheck this checkbox, candidate states will no longer be shared.
Click View Mappings.
Based on your selection, the corresponding Candidate State Mappings fly-out menu will be displayed.
For example, if you select View Mappings next to Indeed, the Indeed Candidate State Mappings fly-out menu displays the following information:
- Indeed States - This column automatically pulls all the dispositions that Indeed supports.
- Candidate States in ATS – This column automatically lists all candidate states available in all workflows. Please see Candidate Workflows and Interview Types with Workflows for more information.
Three required dispositions for Indeed (New, Hired, and Rejected) will be automatically mapped and cannot be removed.
Default mapping:
- Indeed state: New > ATS State: New
- Indeed state: Hired > ATS State: Offer Accepted
- Indeed state: Not Selected > ATS State: Rejected
Click + next to an Indeed state to see a list of all ATS candidate states (standard and custom).
These states will be differentiated by the workflow to which they belong. The list only shows candidates (ATS) that haven’t been mapped yet. Each candidate state can be linked to just one Indeed state, but an Indeed state can be mapped to multiple candidate states. Once a candidate state is mapped, it’s removed from the list.
Use the search bar to search the list and select dispositions.
Click X to remove the mapping for custom dispositions. If you add more candidate states to the same Indeed state, they’ll appear on a new line under that mapping. Mapping candidate states to Indeed states is an option; you don’t need to map every state. However, default states are automatically mapped and don’t require any action.
Click Save Mappings to apply your changes. This will save the mapping and close the fly-out menu; a banner message will also be displayed at the bottom of the page.
NOTE: You can also click Cancel to discard any modifications.
The information above would be the same for the View Mappings selection for ZipRecruiter. Like Indeed, there are three required dispositions for ZipRecruiter (Received, Hired, and Rejected) that will be automatically mapped and cannot be removed.
Default mapping:
- ZipRecruiter state: Received > ATS State: New
- ZipRecruiter state: Hired > ATS State: Offer Accepted
- ZipRecruiter state: Rejected > ATS State: Rejected
