IMPORTANT READ BEFORE ACTIVATION

Automated Job Posting (aka Job Wrapping) is required for staffing customers and recommended for non-staffing customers to use Apply Connect. Before starting the activation process, please read the following instructions to make sure you are set up correctly.

  • If Automated Job Posting is not yet enabled, follow the instructions below:
    • First, enable Apply Connect in your ATS using the instructions in the activation guide.
    • Wait for 24 hours and then enable Automated Job Posting in LinkedIn Recruiter (see this guide for support). NOTE: 24 hours allows jobs to be synced via Apply Connect API, at which point your automated job postings request can be done.

⚠️ Do not enable Automated Job Posting before Apply Connect is enabled in your ATS.

  • If Automated Job Posting is enabled, follow the instructions below:
    • First, enable Apply Connect in your ATS using the instructions in this guide.
    • Then, check the connection status of your ATS API source is “Posting active” (see page 7 of this guide)
      • If connected, you can close your manual jobs. This will help prevent duplicate jobs and ensure that all jobs directly collect applications into the ATS via Apply Connect.

Additionally, the candidate’s profile is available in the LinkedIn Profile button, which will provide a summary-level view on hover over and a full view on click of the button:

Automated Application Notifications (Optional)

As an Apply Connect customer, Jobvite/Evolve ATS will send your application actions to LinkedIn, giving candidates who applied via LinkedIn better insight into their application status. This feedback signal will only include abstract signals when you perform actions such as viewing the job application, downloading resumes, or rejecting an application. It does not send the candidate any notes, hiring decisions, feedback, or any confidential or company-specific information.

NOTE: The Automated Application Notification is only available to those with LinkedIn Recruiter seats (Recruiter Admin with Searcher permission required) and can be toggled on/off in the onboarding widget at any time.

FAQ

Q. Do new jobs get automatically posted to LinkedIn with Easy Apply?

Additional FAQs are available on LinkedIn Help here

Q. My job has closed or moved to limited access, but I'm still receiving candidates.
A. If you change a job in our system from "External" (Public) to "Limited Access" (Private), our system sends that status update to LinkedIn. However, because this new "Private" status conflicts with the original "Public" creation status, LinkedIn ignores the API call entirely. Consequently, they do not receive the signal to close the job.

LinkedIn’s Policy LinkedIn has confirmed that they will not be changing this functionality. According to their current logic, a job will only close automatically if:

  • An API transaction is successfully received (which requires matching posting types).

  • 30 days pass without an update (for Sponsored jobs).

  • 180 days pass without an update (for Non-Sponsored jobs).

Action Required: Because the API calls were rejected due to the status switch, you will need to manually close these specific postings directly within LinkedIn. Going forward, please be aware that switching a live job from External to Limited Access will sever automatic update connections.
