Prerequisites
- Ensure you're logged into LinkedIn in the same browser session as RM.
- Whoever will authorize Apply with LinkedIn must have one of the two items below attached to their LinkedIn Account:
- LinkedIn Recruiter license.
- LinkedIn Job Posting license.
- You must be using Apply Workflow. See Workflows (Apply Workflow).
- You must configure LinkedIn in the Apply Social Media Step. See Apply Social Media Step (Apply Workflow).
Authorize LinkedIn
Navigate to your user menu, then click Applications.
Select Common, then click LinkedIn Integration.
Click Apply with LinkedIn.
The LinkedIn Authorization page will indicate whether your company is already authorized.
You must first log into the browser with your LinkedIn account associated with your Recruiter Account.
Click Sign in.
NOTE: You may be required to enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) on your LinkedIn account before you can activate Apply with LinkedIn. See https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/answer/a1381088/turn-two-step-verification-on-and-off
If you have more than one contract with LinkedIn, click Continue next to the contract you want to use with the integration.
If you see Not Authorized on the LinkedIn Authorization page, select Choose Package.
Click the checkbox next to Apply Package.
If Apply with LinkedIn is not selected automatically, click the checkbox.
Click Save changes.
A request will be sent to LinkedIn, which will generate an application key automatically. After you reload the page, you will see the following:
- Authorized next to the Apply with LinkedIn title.
- A green checkmark and text Activated for all contracts for your company below Apply Package.
Candidate Experience
When candidates start an Apply Workflow with the Apply Social Media Step enabled, they can select Use LinkedIn Profile.
After a candidate selects Use LinkedIn Profile, the page expands to show the Apply With LinkedIn option.
If the candidate is not yet logged into LinkedIn in the browser, they must enter their LinkedIn credentials and click Sign in.
On the LinkedIn authorization page, the candidate will select Allow. Apply with LinkedIn will fetch data from the candidate's LinkedIn profile and feed that data to the Apply Workflow.
The data that will be populated (and may be displayed on the Review page if configured) includes:
