In Recruitment Marketing (RM), when the Send SMS feature is enabled for the company, the SMS Templates page is created and displayed in the Campaigns section. By default, three compliance templates are created for a company to respond to the array of STOP, START, and HELP keywords. The templates can be edited as needed. The corresponding system templates are also available and can be customized to suit the company's needs.

Create New SMS Template
On the SMS Templates page, click Add New Template.
On the New SMS Template page, fill out the following fields:
- Template Name - The name that will appear on the lists of SMS templates available on the Send SMS and Send Mass SMS dialogues.
- Unique Keywords - The keywords sent by the candidate that will trigger a reply SMS with this template. A template can have one or multiple keywords or phrases separated by a semicolon (;). The keyword or phrase cannot be added to more than one template. Keywords are not case-sensitive; i.e., candidates can send the keyword in upper- or lowercase letters to trigger the reply SMS.
- Published - Toggle this setting to publish your template and make it available from the lists of templates on Send SMS and Send Mass SMS dialogues.
- Message - The message for the SMS template. The maximum allowed size is 320 characters.
- Merge Fields - An SMS template that does not use keywords can have merge fields related to Candidate, Recruiter, Job, or Career Site. A template with a keyword cannot include Job or Career Site merge fields because the automatic reply SMS triggered by the keyword will not be linked to a job or career site, which prevents the merge fields from being resolved. You can insert merge fields from the following groups: Candidate (first name, last name, email), Recruiter (first name, last name, email, phone), Job (Apply URL, Job ID, Title, Location), Career Site (name, page name, page URL, Join Talent Network URL, Campaign Landing Page Text and URL).
Click Save to save your template. The page will not close, i.e., you can continue editing the template. If you are done with editing, click Save and Close: your work will be saved, the template will be closed, and you will be redirected to the list of templates. If you do not want to save the template, click Cancel.
