Mapping Groups

In Recruitment Marketing (RM), Mapping Groups are used to provide source tracking between the RM's BIDs and the ATS's source codes. BIDs in the RM act as a way to notate which source the applicant should be assigned during the apply process. BIDs will be automatically assigned once the candidate reaches the career site based on their previous browser activity.

Each mapping needs the following information:

  • ATS Value - This represents the value assigned to the source in the ATS. This field is case sensitive and should match the source in the ATS exactly.
  • Talemetry BID - Choose a BID from the drop-down. The list of BIDs comes from the Global BID/Source Management and from the custom BIDs you have set up for your organization. Each BID will have a BID number followed by the name of the source.
  • Scope - The scope determines which field, BID, or ATS value is used for the lookup; this can be set to 'Both', 'Apply', or 'Analytics'.
    • Apply - If the scope is 'Apply', then the lookup is performed using the BID to resolve an ATS value. In this case, the BID needs to be unique.
    • Analytics - If the scope is Analytics, then the lookup is done using the ATS value to resolve the BID. In this case, the ATS value needs to be unique. This is the only scope that will allow for multiple mappings with the same BID.
    • Both - If the scope is Both, then the BID and ATS values must be unique.

NOTE: You may notice some ATS Values with these characters "||".  This indicates that the source is a parent/child pair; this is most often used for Job Board sources, as these typically follow the syntax of "Job Board||Job Board Name". If your ATS supports parent/child sources, you can use this syntax when defining your ATS Values.
