How to Find Requisitions Open During a Specific Timeframe in Analytics

Follow

This article explains how to configure your Analytics report filters to find all job requisitions that were open at any point during a specific date range. This is achieved by using the Job Open History fields from the Requisition Explore to filter requisitions with the Requisition Open From Date and Requisition Open To Date fields.

To ensure your data is displayed correctly, you'll need to set up a specific filter configuration.

Add and Configure the First Filter Group (Filters 1 and 2)

This group identifies all requisitions that were opened before your target timeframe and remained open after it began.

Select the Filters pane.

Click + Filter and add the following filters:

  • Job Open History Requisition Open From Date
  • Job Open History Requisition Open To Date

Set the operator between these two filters to OR.

Configure the filters (using a placeholder date range of $X$ for the specific timeframe):

  • Job Open History Requisition Open From Date is before (absolute) (e.g., the start date of your desired range $X$). This is Filter 1, which sees all requisitions still open from before the range $X$.
  • Job Open History Requisition Open To Date is null. This is Filter 2, which sees all requisitions still open after the range $X$ began.

NOTE: If you want to filter for subset data, such as a specific "Location List" or other data, the filter will need to be added to both groups.

Expected Behavior and Troubleshooting

When filtering for requisitions open in a specific time period, you may see some requisitions that have Open From and Open To dates that do not align with the expected values.

  • This occurs because these requisitions appear due to being opened at some time in the filtered period (including accidental opens).
  • You can typically see them with the most recent open date field.
  • Resolution: Unfortunately, these will need to be manually excluded from the report. You can do this either by filtering the requisition ID or removing them from the downloaded data.
