Overview
Intelligent Messaging is the next generation of our texting solution, enabled through a floating widget embedded directly within the Evolve Recruitment Marketing (RM) system.
Intelligent Messaging focuses on 1-to-1 and 1-to-many texting with candidates directly in the CRM. This new version brings a modern experience and improved usability and is a foundation for future texting and automation capabilities.
Audience
All users
General Use
- Any company user with a role that allows access to Intelligent Messaging will see the Intelligent Messaging launcher (chat bubble icon) in the bottom right corner of the screen on all pages (except career sites).
- You can click the chat bubble icon to open the Intelligent Messaging Widget.
- If there are new conversations/unread conversations, the widget launcher will show a number.
- You can view your current conversations by clicking this icon within the opened widget.

- You can click on any candidate’s name from the active conversation list to view the active conversation.
- You can access (or configure new) your organization’s existing Intelligent Messaging Bots by clicking this icon within the opened widget.

- This menu option will expand the widget to nearly full screen and allow you to choose which bot type you want to dig into further.
Conversation List View
The icons below can be found within the widget in Evolve RM.
Candidate Icon & Name – Each row will show the candidate’s name and an icon representing the candidate.
- NOTE: If the candidate is known, there might be a picture or just the candidate’s initials.
Sync Symbol - A blue sync symbol indicates the candidate is synced between Talemetry and Intelligent Messaging.
Say Hello – If you see a smiley face icon next to a candidate's name, this indicates you have not yet started the conversation.
Unread Message Number - A number beside the name indicates unread messages.
Start a Conversation
You can start new conversations (or continue existing ones) by navigating to the Talent tab > Soure > Folders.
In either section, enter a candidate’s name or select a folder of candidates and click Search to return the candidate(s) that meet your search criteria.
Once you find a candidate you’d like to text, click the menu icon on the candidate card. From the open menu, click Send Text, and Intelligent Messaging will either open the existing conversation with the selected candidate or offer you the option to start a new conversation.
If Intelligent Messaging recognizes that you have never texted the candidate before, you will be offered a generic welcome message that you can choose to send to start the conversation.
NOTE: You can always ignore that welcome message and start typing your message in the message field.
Conversation Activities
When reviewing an active conversation within the RM Intelligent Messaging widget, you can do several things.
Send Message—Once you are happy with the message you’ve drafted, click this icon to send it to the candidate. Note: We require you to click the Send Message icon to send the text message to a candidate (we believe this helps protect folks from mistakenly sending a message before it is ready).
Schedule Message—Click this icon to add a drafted message or draft a new message that will be sent sometime in the future (it must be at least 30 minutes in the future). Simply include your text message and then choose the time and date in the future when you want the message to be sent, and Intelligent Messaging will take care of the rest!
Emoji Picker – Click this icon to include any of our pre-loaded emojis in your text message.
Library Drawer – Click this icon to expand the Intelligent Messaging Library drawer. In this view, you can choose from any pre-configured Messages, Resources, or Questions templates.
Action Menu – Click this icon at the top right corner of the conversation to expose additional actions you can take on the selected candidate.
- You can Open Chat in App, which will open the conversation in the Candidates tab in Intelligent Messaging.
- You can Download Transcript, which allows you to export a PDF of the full conversation as it exists at that moment.
- You can Sync.
- You can Archive, which will set the conversation to Inactive and add it to the Archived filter section.
- You can Amplify, which will allow you to send a candidate an Amplify bot (either from your existing Amplify bot list or by creating a new one).
- Character Count Tracker – As you type new messages within the Intelligent Messaging widget, we will keep track of the total number of characters in the message. NOTE: Cellular carriers break large blocks of text into 160-character-length messages as they send your text to candidates.
Search Candidates by Name
Type part of a candidate’s name to find specific candidates in your conversations list tab.
Filters
You can filter by Active or Archived conversation status' by clicking the filter icon.
Click the filter icon to view other filter options.
Say Hello - Click this filter only to show candidates where you have not yet started a conversation.
Unread - Click this filter and type something in the search text box to find conversations with unread text in those conversations.
Tag—Click the tag filter option and choose one or more tags. Then, filter by conversations with candidates using the chosen tags.
- NOTE: The tags in this list ONLY exist as sorting/grouping mechanisms within Intelligent Messaging and do not connect or sync with your RM Tags.
Job - Click this filter to select a job and filter by candidates with that job having conversations.
- NOTE: The jobs included in this list ONLY exist as sorting/grouping mechanisms within Intelligent Messaging and do not connect or sync with your RM Jobs.
Star Rating - Click this filter and choose a star rating to filter by candidates having conversations.
- NOTE: Star ratings can only be applied to a candidate through the Intelligent Messaging web experience (accessed by clicking the AppSwitcher and navigating to “Intelligent Messaging.”
Send 1-Many Text Messages
With Recruitment Marketing Intelligent Messaging, you have two options for sending text messages to more than one person at a time: Send Text to Selected and Send Mass Text.
Send Text to Selected
This option allows you to select up to 25 candidates within your CRM Source or Folders section and send them each the same message as if you were sending an individual 1:1 message. Think of this option as a tool to bulk-start multiple 1:1 conversations with up to 25 candidates.
To use Send Text to Selected, you first need a list of candidates in either the Source or Folders section of your CRM.
Use the checkboxes next to each candidate profile or click the bulk-select checkbox on the page to choose which candidates will receive your message.
Once you’ve selected the candidates, click the action menu and choose Send Text to Selected.
This will open the 1-many text configuration screen, where you will see the list of potential recipients of the text and a message field where you can configure your 1-many text message.
Once you are satisfied with the message, click Send to send the message to all potential recipients.
Send Mass Text
This option allows you to configure and send one campaign-style message to tens, hundreds, or thousands of candidates at the same time. It is our true mass-text message tool, leveraging Intelligent Messaging’s Amplify bot engine.
To use Send Mass Text, you first need a list of candidates in either the Source or Folders section of your CRM.
Once the proper candidate list or folder is open, click the action menu and choose Send Mass Text.
This will open the 1-many text configuration screen, where you will see the list of potential recipients of the text and a message field where you can configure your 1-many text message.
Send Mass Text requires that you choose one of your organization’s pre-configured templates from the Templates dropdown. You do not need to use the template and can clear out the template text in the message field, but Send Mass Text requires a template to be selected before sending the message.
NOTE: Depending on your needs, you can schedule the mass text message to be sent immediately or sometime in the future (as well as allow sending the message on Saturdays or Sundays).
Once you are satisfied with the message, click Save & Schedule to send the message to all potential recipients.
Candidate Communication Storage:
When the candidate conversation is initiated from RM using the Intelligent Messaging widget, all text messages will sync to the candidate profile in RM and display in the Messages tab of the candidate profile.
