Questionnaire and Landing Page Best Practices
- Create questionnaires based on requisition, department, or job level (Manager, Director, etc.)
- The Copy Landing Page From Questionnaire asks, “Which questionnaire's landing pages would you like to copy to this one?” If you want to keep them blank, just leave them on the Select Questionnaire.
- Avoid yes or no questions since they will take no time to answer.
- When it comes to the amount of time for a question, it is recommended to have 30 seconds for prep, and 90 secs for response. As a mantra, "If you give them a long time to answer, they will take a long time to answer." Since candidates are not talking face-to-face with someone, they don't have the verbal or facial cues to know when to start or stop talking. This helps mitigate that.
- When selecting a category for the question, consider “what type of question is this?”. This can help when filtering questions based on category.
- You can also use the Question Library to add existing questions to new questionnaires quickly.
- We suggest having about five to seven questions in a questionnaire.
- If you’re creating/editing a landing page, you can do the following:
- Add an image.
- Embed a video.
- Personalize with template fields.
- Add, remove, and edit HTML code.
Email Templates
You can edit the email templates associated with Jobvite Video based on your business needs.
Navigate to your user menu > Admin > Video > View Emails.
You can edit any of the templates for Jobvite Video. It is best practice to edit the Invite Candidate template, as it is the message sent to the candidate with the video screen invitation. NOTE: Much like any other template, there are template fields that populate from within Jobvite ATS.
For more information about editing email templates, please see Email Template Configuration.
Ad-hoc Video Interviews
Ad-hoc video interviews allow you to send video interview invitations to candidates, even if a questionnaire isn't tied to the requisition. These invites can be sent individually or in bulk, without changing the candidate’s workflow status.
Navigate to your user menu > Admin > Video > View Settings.
Click Edit.
Select Enabled.
Click Save.
